This week, the province will be conducting a test of the Alert Ready system.

At 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, every wireless device will receive an alert along with a text message.

Additionally, the alert will be broadcast on radio and television channels.

Alert Ready is a crucial system that delivers critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians.

"Please do not call 911 for information about the test. Using 911 for non-emergency calls could delay help for people experiencing real emergencies." stated Alert Ready.
