Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Lawrence MacAulay, recently announced appointments to the Farm Credit Canada Board of Directors.

Seven Directors were appointed, one being Ms. Jane Halford from Alberta, who is also the only re-appointed Director.

The appointed Directors are from a variety of backgrounds in areas such as farming, financing, law, and science.

The other Directors are as follows;

    Mr. Del Anaquod (newly appointed as Director, term of three years)
    Mrs. Bertha Campbell (newly appointed as Director, term of four years)
    Ms. Laura Donaldson (newly appointed as Director, term of four years)
    Ms. Michele Hengen (newly appointed as Director, term of three years)
    Mr. James Laws (newly appointed as Director, term of three years)
    Mr. Govert Verstralen (newly appointed as Director, term of four years)
    Ms. Jane Halford (re-appointed as Director, term of three years)

Farm Credit Canada is Canada's largest provider of financial services to producers, agribusinesses, and agri-food operations.

Their loan portfolio is more $32 billion.
