Animals on the farm come in all shapes and sizes.

Terry Greidanus is a bee farmers south of High River and he says it's  big operation.

"Or honey farm consists of two different revenue streams, the first one being pollination, we rent our honeybees to the big seed companies that produce the canola seed for the farmers in the area here," he says. "The second part of our revenue stream is the honey collection, the bees collect honey anytime a flowers blooms, it produces nectar, our bees are there collecting the nectar from the flower and at the same time pollinating the flower that's looking to create the seed."

He says canola may or may not need beneficial insect to pollinate itself, while flowers and gardens all need a beneficial insect to bear fruit so bees are a critical part of nature.
