Alberta continues to lead the way in testing for COVID 19. In the past 24 hours, 7000 tests were performed revealing 48 new cases. There are 486 active cases in the province with 38 people in hospital and seven in ICU. Thankfully, no new deaths were reported and that grim total remains at 151.

Dr Hinshaw took a moment to recognize those who have passed in the province. She said, "I want to take a moment to recognize the 151 lives that have been lost to COVID 19 in the province. These individuals ranged in age from 27 to 105 and while the majority had two or more underlying conditions, a small number had none. Independent of their age or health status they will all be missed. My heart goes to all those who have lost loved ones during this time whether it be to COVID 19 or any other cause. It is these most tragic cases that we continue to work collectively to prevent."

Across the province, 6893 people have recovered from the virus. Seventeen of which are from the Cochrane/Springbank area. Three more cases have been identified in Rocky View County where there are five active cases and 35 recovered.
