UPDATE: The Darby Family has increased the reward offered for the safe return of Seve to $1,500.

On top of the $1,000 generously offered by Kendra Watt, the family has added $500.

The reward will be given for the safe return of Seve, or for information leading to the conviction of the person who stole Seve, says James Darby.

The Darby family, along with members of the community, have been actively searching for their eight-year-old Seve, a Springer Spaniel. It was taken from the Bragg Creek Community Centre parking lot along with their black 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee (license plate VNL 421) on Mar. 12.

They have travelled extensively to followup on leads. Last weekend, over 100 people participated in an expanded search that took towards Canmore and Calgary. They also combed the Cochrane, Springbank, and Bragg Creek areas.

The search continues, though with fewer numbers due to rising concern over COVID-19.

A GoFundMe page was opened to collect reward money for Seve's safe return. The Darby's announced that they are refunding all the money received due to COVID-19, and the financial strain being faced by the community.

Anyone with any information regarding the missing dog is asked to phone or text the Darby's at 403-690-7740.
