Based on 5205 tests in the past 24 hours, the province recorded 315 new cases bringing the total to 5165.

Dr Deena Hinshaw sadly relayed that there were 7 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours bringing that grim total to 87. All seven of the deaths were from continuing care facilities in Calgary including six at Clifton Manor. Dr Hinshaw emphasized that the deaths were not the fault of the facility, as all proper procedures were followed. She said, "The site "responded promptly, created an isolation ward and worked hard to prevent the spread. Despite this, this shows the power of this virus in closed environment." 

Other numbers Dr Hinshaw relayed, there are now 821 cases linked to the Cargil plant in High River and 276 from JBS in Brooks.

There are 18 cases in the Cochrane/Springbank area with 6 active and 12 recovered.

Rocky View County is recording 36 cases with 11 active and 25 recovered,

As of today, a total of 1953 have recovered from the virus.
