Beginning on September 16, 2021, Albertans will be able to download and print card-sized vaccination records. Digital options are also available to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations on mobile or tablet devices.

“We continue to make it easier for Albertans to securely access their health information, including immunization records, in the palm of their hand any time and anywhere through MyHealth Records. More Albertans are signing up for this tool every day to access their health information, and if you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to sign up now,” says Tyler Shandro, Minister of Health.

The province is also developing a QR code system for proof of vaccination. The QR code is considered faster and more secure and is expected to launch in the coming weeks.

It's being recommended that Albertans pre-download their cards prior to attending events and businesses that ask for proof. MyHealth Records may experience high traffic volume and slowdowns before major events and long weekends

The card-sized vaccination records launch Thursday and can be accessed via MyHealth Records
