On Friday Health Canada announced the approval of Pfizer as the first COVID-19 vaccine for elementary school kids across the country. 

Many provinces have already announced plans for their rollout, and it's expected that officials in Alberta will provide a more in-depth plan later today.

The province has reported 1,125 new COVID cases since Friday.

Hospitalizations remain under 500, with 463 Albertans currently in hospital and 98 in ICU.

Cochrane is currently reporting 47 active cases, with four schools currently listed on the AHS School Status map.

Bow Valley High School, Elizabeth Barrett Elementary School and Glenbow Elementary School are currently listed under alert status, reporting  2 - 4 cases and 

Fireside School is currently listed under an outbreak status with 10+ cases.

Premier Jason Kenney, Health Minister Jason Copping, and Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will provide a live update at 3:30 this afternoon.
