The Bragg Creek and Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present a new festival that is coming to Bragg Creek this Friday and Saturday, September 16th and 17th.

The Arts, Eats & Beats Festival is sure to offer fun for the whole family.

The festival is free of charge and all you have to do is stop by the welcome table beside the Main Stage on White Ave., at Banded Peak Mall and pick up your map and passport and start your walk about the hamlet exploring and discovering Arts, Eats & Beats.

Bragg Creek and Area Chamber of Commerce president Sherri Olsen explains, “It’s an arts weekend in many communities around Alberta and across Canada from what we understand. So, we first thought about well let’s do an art walk and we were like well we should eat, and then we were like well let’s just have some live music and so then we just rhymed it Arts, Eats & Beats.” And that is how a festival was born.

Olsen adds, “We encourage you to walk, get a stamp on the passport, and with 15 stamps on the passport, your name gets entered into a draw for a $300 cash prize.”

The “Arts” will be handled by Hooked On Bragg, Bragg Creek Performing Arts, and Suncatchers Design Studio.

The “Eats” will be found at The Bav Tav, Bragg’s Korner Kitchen, Bragg Creek Trading Post, Wintergreen Golf Course, Powderhorn Saloon, and the Rockies Tavern all serving up specials for the event.

As for the “Beats”, there will be live musical entertainment provided by numerous talented musicians including Neil Speers, Cory Ullan, Wendy Walder & the Tribe, Robb Mann, Dani Moon & the Band, The Latin Gypsy, Two Late to the Party, Camie Leard Band, Stuart Bartwicki, Accordian with Pedro, and Joze.

Olsen says, “It's been a tough few years for our small businesses in Bragg and you know, I anticipate a full crowd, and just for people to be patient […] it’s just going to be a fun day.”

Everything kicks off Friday, September 16 from 4 pm until 8 pm and then Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Join the fun and be able to say you were at the very first Bragg Creek Arts, Eats & Beats Festival.
