The price at the pump has fallen a few cents a litre since November 14 and consumers are getting excited.

If your gas gadge is on the lower side it isn't a bad time to fill'er up.

Petroleum Analyst with GasBuddy.com, Dan McTeague says going into the weekend, what you see is what you are going to get.

"It costs retailers about 78 or 79c/L to buy their gasoline so I'm not thinking they can go too much further without hurting their bottom line and for that reason it looks like the prices we're going to see at the pumps could remain pretty stable"

On the horizon during the week, McTeague says gasoline prices could go either way.

"I don't see much in the way of change, but we'll have to wait and see what happens with the Chicago stock market next week. If those start to rise then it's a safe bet that the prices will trend back up."

Around Cochrane  right now, average gas prices remain at 84.9 c/L.
