A team of volunteers and donors are reaching out with flowers to about 30 local small businesses that will be forced to once again close their doors on Sunday, May 9.

Paul Singh says the group of volunteers wanted to bring a little cheer in a challenging time and to let the business owners know Cochranites have their backs.

"We wanted to show our gratitude to the shops who are having to close and to try to cheer them up a little," says Singh.

"This is what Cochrane is about. It's not a big thing, but it's a small deed from Cochranites to the businesses from the whole community. We want to say thank you for being there, and we feel for you, and hope we will get over this soon and get back to normal as soon as possible."

Singh praises Incredible Florist for their help with this and other similar initiatives throughout the pandemic.

He also appreciates the many volunteers who will help distribute the flowers and have donated funds to make it possible.
