The body of a teen who was presumed to have drowned near Seebe Dam last week has been found.

Sixteen-year-old Blessing Paul was swimming with friends on Aug. 8 when he went under the water and didn't resurface.

Cochrane Search and Rescue, the RCMP and members of Paul's family helped search for the young man for days.

Cochrane RCMP have now confirmed that with the help of the Central Alberta Rescue Diving Society and Cochrane Search and Rescue, the teens body was found underwater.

Cochrane Mounties are continuing to investigate this tragedy.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff is reminding us to steer clear of the Seebe Dam area as it is extremely dangerous with changing water levels and it's illegal to get there as you have to trespass over three properties.

A gofundme page has been set up for Paul's family.
