A little boy from Bragg Creek is putting together something special for less fortunate kids and adults.

It's called Hope Rocks & Socks and it starts with a hand painted rock and then he and his mom fill up the socks with other items including toys, toiletries, toques, gloves, gift cards for grocery stores and a special message from your family.

When asked who will be receiving these socks five-year-old Easton Brocklebank says "people that don't really get presents from Santa."

He says "we can paint a rock and then people can put it in their pocket to make it special."

The Kindergarten student says "we can put socks and gloves and stuff" into the sock.

Brocklebank says his family has put together four socks so far and the goal was to have 20 socks to donate and they already have 22 socks from other friends and family.

He says he is hoping to continue to do this every year.

They will deliver the socks to the Mustard Seed and the Children's Cottage Society closer to Christmas.
