Bragg Creek’s Spirit of Christmas and Light Up is taking place tomorrow (Saturday) and is welcoming everyone to come and celebrate the start of the holiday season.

Alannah Turner, past president of the Bragg Creek Community Association Board of Directors says there are a ton of activities to fill the entire day with. “We will be running events, including lighting up local Christmas trees that are sponsored by local businesses. We have wagons providing wagon rides around the hamlet. We have an outdoor market centre at the community centre and we have special stops along the way that are supporting our local businesses.”

“This is really an activity for the whole family mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, whoever is joining in! We really feel like we've addressed it through some storytime locations. We also have hot chocolate from our local businesses, of course.”

There will be photos with Santa as well as princesses available. There is also a lantern walk through the streets singing carols with the Swamp Donkeys.

The event begins at noon, but the real magic starts when the sun goes down.

“As the evening falls, we’ll be flipping the switch with a special guest and lighting up our hamlet Christmas lights.”

The event will feature both indoor and outdoor activities. The indoor activities will be adhering to Alberta's Restrictions Exemption Program.
