Canada's Farm Progress Show was rebranded in December as organizers announced a number of changes for the event including new dates.

The 2020 show was scheduled to have a Tuesday to Thursday format this year running June 16-18, 2020.

President and CEO of Regina's Exhibition Association Limited, Tim Reid says that organizers have been meeting to discuss the show's plans going forward.

"With the realities that we're seeing, we don't believe that COVID-19 will go away quickly.  Even when we're in a position of more safety and security in Western Canada, we will still see restrictions and limitations on public gatherings. So, the general consensus around the table was the likelihood of a cancellation or a postponement, at least of our June show is highly probable. We anticipate by the end of the week we'll have a final decision that's public, but I think it's unlikely that the show will proceed in June of this year.”

Reid expects a final decision to be announced shortly.
