There are some big changes to Tim Hortons' famous Roll Up The Rim contest this year.

The coffee chain has made some adjustments to help cut costs and to try to push customers to collect "rolls" through their mobile app.

Canadians have grown to love this contest over the years.

There's something exciting about finishing your coffee and then rolling up the rim to see if you've won anything.

And there's the hilarity of watching people dig through the garbage immediately after throwing out their cup because they've just realized they forgot to roll up the rim.

There's also going to be less rolling and less winning in general this year.

The contest will only run for four weeks compared to the ten weeks it ran last year.

Coffee drinkers will have a one in nine shot at winning compared to last year's one in six shot of winning.

What are your thoughts? Should Tim Hortons stick to the traditional contest or are you on board with them trying something new?
