P3 Sports is offering the opportunity to enjoy a little ball hockey while supporting both a valued program of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and the food bank of the Cochrane Activettes.

Team registrations are currently being accepted for the 2022 P3 Sports Charity Ball Hockey Tournament being held June 25-26 on the dry turf of the SLS Family Sports Centre.

"It's an annual event that we've done year-to-year in support of the "Build Them Up" program of the Alberta Children's Hospital, which is focused on youth's mental health, something that has really come to the forefront during the pandemic," explains Alec Miller, of P3.

It's free to register and donations will be accepted in support of the program. Nonperishables will be accepted for the local food bank.

There are four age categories and six teams per division. Each team can have 10 players. Games are 30 minutes with a five-minute warmup, two 10-minute periods, and intermissions.

"We're keeping the sign-up open to the very last day, so if you're interested, all the details are available on our website," says Miller.

Among the teams that have already signed up is a group of Czech players who arrive next week to train with P3.
