The Cochrane Chaos will now be focusing on successfully defending their south division title of the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League (AJFHL).

Yesterday afternoon, the Chaos doubled the Lethbridge Eagles, 4-2, to pave the way to south final.

The Eagles took a 2-1 lead after one, much like the opening game of the best-of-three series. Instead of the game being decided in overtime, the Chaos charged back with a 3-2 lead after two and added one in the third.

"We went off in the first intermission and just had a good chat about sticking to our game plan," says Chaos head coach Derek Loomer. "The girls came out and took advantage of a couple of good opportunities, got the lead and then played a solid defensive road game after that."

Early in the playoffs, Kelly Stanford has been a scoring machine for the Chaos. She scored two of Saturday's goals and assisted on another. That brings her two-game tally to four goals, two assists.

Also scoring for the Chaos were Brooklyn Palin and Audrey Buston. Sarah Nusl, Callie Cummins, and Colbi Brown had helpers.

Loomer salutes the Eagles for offering tough competition in both games.

The Titans lead the other south division series against the Calgary Jags after winning Game One on Friday, 8-2. Game Two was scheduled for last night but had to be postponed. The Titans are heavily favored to win the series.

"If it's the Titans, it's going to be another huge challenge to win the south."

The Titans have been the Achilles' heel of the Chaos this season, winning all but one of their matchups. The other was a tie. All were close, fast-paced games.

No matter who they face, the Chaos will spend the week preparing

The Chaos represented the south in the provincial championship for the last two years and set the goal of taking it all at the start of the season.
