Two suspects have been charged in connection to a series of break-ins in the Cochrane, Bragg Creek and Priddis areas.

On Sept. 25, the Cochrane RCMP were advised of a string of break in enters involving the Cochrane area, as well as Bragg Creek and Priddis.

The series of crimes involving both rural residences and local businesses continued until Oct. 22 and local RCMP had reason to believe they

were the same persons responsible.

Sgt. Ryan Singleton with the Cochrane RCMP said that with assistance from the community, they were successful in identifying the suspects.

"We gained assistance from the various communities involved in these incidences, and we also put a media release out looking for people of interest that we believed may have information to assist our investigation. We had a tremendous amount of success in Crime Stoppers tips from that and ultimately that brought us to who we believed was responsible."

Ian Charles Abercrombie, 23, formerly of Calgary, and 19-year-old Ethan Michael Enns of Calgary have been charged with eight counts of

break and enter to a business as well as five counts of wearing a mask while committing an indictable offence.

Singleton says that after obtaining a search warrant, the RCMP were able to recover stolen property from a property south of Airdrie.

"We searched a rural property outside of Balzac yesterday where we recovered several pieces of stolen equipment including quads, dirt bikes and other property which was stolen from those break in enters."

The RCMP believe there are still others linked to these crimes and are asking the public to contact Crime Stoppers or the

Cochrane RCMP with any new information.
