To the delight of auto lovers, the Cochrane Classic Car Club has resumed its Thursday night socials.

Club president Ray Kaczmer says their members have been eager for the return of their regular get-togethers and held their first one on July 8 by the old Canadian Tire building on 5th Ave.

Their second event is this Thursday, July 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the PetroCanada/A&W, located on the corner of Griffin Rd. and River Ave.

Kaczmer says with the fine weather there should be a good turnout of vehicles. He says spectators are welcome to drop by to check out the wheels and chat with the owners.

In recent years, the club has been rotating the locations of its gatherings. Kaczmer says they're currently hammering out their schedule for the balance of the season.

They're also deciding if the giant Fall Colours Show and Shine will proceed. Should it get the green light, it will be held on Sept. 12, the day after the Cremona Show and Shine.

The two shows have been offering a one-two punch along the Cowboy Trail in recent years but were forced to cancel last year.

The Cochrane Classis Car Club has upwards of 70 members, and more are always welcomed.
