The Calgary Chill won the season series against the Rocky View Silvertips and have taken over top spot in the Central  Division of Jr. B tier 1 in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Last night, the Chill opened up a two-goal lead by the end of two and dominated the scoreboard in the third to win 12-7 on home turf in the Brentwood Sportsplex.

Matthew Dyck led the Silvertips in scoring with a four-point night, three goals and an assist. Leading scorer Noah Oakey was kept to three assists. Singles were scored by Nathan Lam, Ryan Gulutzan, Josh Halcro and Hunter McChesney.

The Chill has won the regular season series 3 games to one. The Silvertips 18-10 win over the Chill early this month marked the first time the Tips have beat the Chill in many years.

Only two points separate the top three teams in the central division coming into the final two weekends of regular season play.

The Silvertips are at home this Saturday, July 6 to face the Shamrocks, the top Jr. B team in the league. Game time is 8 p.m. in Totem One of the SLS Family Sports Centre.

They wrap up their regular season at home against the Mountain View Mavericks on Sunday, July 14 at 3 p.m.
