The Rocky View divisional volleyball playoffs are underway and wrap up on Friday.

The Cochrane High senior boys and girls volleyball teams are hosting semifinals in Rocky View division playoffs tonight, Nov. 6.

On Monday, the senior girls' team won three sets straight against Airdrie's Croxford Cavaliers in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.

Tonight, they'll be facing the George McDougall Mustangs, who also won their quarterfinal matchup against the Bow Valley Bobcats in three straight. Game time is 4 p.m.

The Cobra girls team finished second behind the Springbank Phoenix in the regular season.

Also tonight, the Cobras boys are at home against a W. H. Croxford team. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Cobras got a bye into the semifinals after going undefeated in the regular season. The Springbank Phoenix were second, having only lost to the Cobras.

Junior teams

The undefeated Cochrane High junior girls team play the Mustangs in a mid-afternoon game today.

Later today, the Bow Valley Bobcats are at home against the Bert Church Chargers.

The Cobra junior boys team is at home against the Mustangs at 5:45 p.m.

No matter what happens Wednesday night, all four CHS teams will be taking to the court on Friday to play in either the gold or bronze medal game.

On Nov. 4, the jr boys Bobcats were eliminated by the Mustangs, 3-1.
