It was a bitter sweet loss for Calgary Flames fans this week when the Flames suffered a 3-1 loss to the Dallas Stars during Wednesday night's home game.

Cochrane born Justin Dowling plays for the Dallas Stars and he not only scored the winning goal for the Stars, but it was the first goal of his NHL career!

While Flames fans are disappointed that the Calgary home team didn't win; it was a proud moment for all those rooting for the 29-year-old Cochranite.

Dowling scored when he put the puck past the Flames goalie Cam Talbot during the third period. The Stars forward had about sixty of his friends and family members in the

stands cheering on his victory.
