At the young age of 14, Jordan Loewen is a talented and driven bowler. Jordan has been in love with the sport ever since he started bowling at three years old, even winning his first award at just four.

The love for bowling runs in Jordan's family with his grandparents and siblings being avid bowlers.

On the weekend of Feb. 12-13 Jordan competed against over 120 different youth bowlers from around the province in Medicine Hat.

He has received scholarships in the past, and was named the top bowler in the recent tournament where he attained another scholarship. He won the highest average out of 120 kids where he won the $1000 scholarship.

This isn’t just a simple hobby for Jordan, he says he wants to do this for the rest of his life.

The teen practices three or four times a week, one to two hours each time! Not to mention he also bowls every Wednesday at a league, and Saturdays youth bowl.

Jordan has also won the Junior Provincial Championship earlier this season and will be representing Alberta in the Nationals this summer in Oshawa ON. With many more championships coming up Jordan says he's, "Looking forward to playing good, meeting new people, and hopefully bringing home a second win."
