The Cochrane Legion is holding a brand new event called a Military Show.

It is happening tomorrow, (Saturday, October 22) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Legion.

Legion member, Andy Bowyer brought the idea forward about three years ago but then COVID hit. So, this year it is going to happen. Bowyer says, "It hasn't all been smooth sailing, but we've got a show together. We should have a lot of items inside the Legion in the way of models from the Rocky  Mountain Model Club and some train layouts and some very interesting items they have." The Sam Steele Scouts will also have a table set up as well as items for sale.

Outside, Bowyer says they have a cannon coming even though the forecast is posing a bit of a problem for the outside exhibits, Bowyer says the show will go on.

The one thing that will be completely weather dependent is the Aero Engine start-up courtesy of the Nanton Museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be 50/50 and meat draws for attendees to purchase and there will be food and refreshments for purchase too.

Entry by donation will be greatly appreciated with funds going to support the Cochrane Legion.

The Military Show happens at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15 at 114 5th Avenue.

Cannon A cannon will be on display for the Military Show happening at the Cochrane Legion on Saturday, October 22.
