A scary shift for a local gas station employee. 

The woman was working alone at a gas station when she noticed a snake slithering through the store.

She called 911.

Members from the Cochrane RCMP detachment responded quickly to try to coax the python out from under the chip display. 

Finally, once the snake was captured, members realized the snake was indeed a small, grass snake.

The snake was then released back into the wild.
