Although the Cochrane Movie House has been a part of the Cochrane landscape for 21 years, COVID 19 has put it in the position of experiencing opening day jitters.

Owner Hal Wolf says the Cochrane Movie House will be opening on Friday, June 19 but not without some nervousness

"You're anxious and you're nervous and excited it's like opening all over again and the unpredictability of what's going to happen."

Wolf says they received the protocol guidelines on the same day of the announcement made by Premier Kenney. So, as of this past Tuesday, they have been scrambling to get things in place.

Wolf said they could have opened this Friday, but decided to wait and make sure everything was ready.

"We are always on the side of safety, and that is the one thing that everyone has agreed upon." They have ordered the supplies they need, rehired their staff, and will be ready to open their doors on June 19th.

As for what will be showing, that is a bit tricky since there are no new releases until July 1st. Wolf says they have a large selection to choose from and will probably put together some family favourites.

"We will be putting the movies on the screen, it will be all seats all shows will be $5 for the first two weeks we are open which is the last two weeks of June."

Yes, the full concession fare will be available to go with your viewing pleasure.
