Just like most things, the Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre's Annual Gala will look different this year but the evening will still be filled with delicious food, inspiring stories and fundraising for an important need.

Nathan Klassen with the Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre says "It is a bit of a twist this year for the Pregnancy Care Centre, so two years ago would have been our traditional gala, in person, eight people at a table etc. have stories, have supper. Last year was going to be the same but last year was fully cancelled because of COVID."

They've planned a virtual gala evening for this year that will be held online.

With the purchase of your ticket you will receive a table box filled with various items including a tasty dessert meant to be enjoyed together during the online programming. The box will be delivered to your door if you reside in Cochrane, for those living outside of town there will be a spot to pick up the box in advance.

The evening will also include games, client testimonials, a message from Klassen, opportunities to engage with other guests as well as a silent auction and a cake auction.

Klassen says "The heart of the Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre revolves around unplanned pregnancy or crisis pregnancy so for anyone who's journey through that chapter of life there's a lot of change, there's a lot of uncertainty. If you're not in a place economically or socially, or physically where all of your foundational needs are met for example, that can be a very challenging chapter to navigate."

He says they're hoping to raise $30,000 to $40,000 at the event.

"If you're in a place that you see the vision and mission of the centre and you support and want to give financially this for sure is an opportunity to connect with the centre on those needs."

The Annual Gala will be held March 20 at 7 p.m.
