Members of the Bow Valley Baptist Church will be heading to Cuba on March 8th on a mission trip. They will be taking with them a little extra luggage.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Cochrane Rangers and Cochrane Minor Soccer Association the Caribbean community of Bayamo, Cuba will be receiving some much needed soccer equipment.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for our local soccer clubs to come together at the start of the 2020 summer soccer registration season and enable a developing country to address the game we are all lucky to enjoy," says Cochrane Rangers Director of Men's Soccer, Mark Brown.

Garry Tether Mission Team Coordinator for Bow Valley Baptist Church says, "This is our fifth trip there and every year the Rangers have given us soccer balls to take. Sometimes jerseys and just whatever they can spare."

Needless to say there will be some smiling faces in Bayamo as Christmas will coming early for them.
