Over the weekend, three Constables from the Cochrane RCMP took a chilly dip for the Special Olympics.

Last year this event raised over $150,000 for Special Olympics Alberta.

Constables Nathan Moore, Bonnie Sauve and Clayton Gelinas joined in the Polar Plunge with over 100 other people all to raise funds for Special Olympics Alberta.

"This was an amazing opportunity to get involved with the community and give back to the Special Olympics of Alberta." said Constable Sauve.  "They can count on us in years to come. We had a great time and loved participating with all our partnering agencies".

"I was worried I would be a frozen copsicle, but I was brought back to my warm self by the hot tub that was available after the plunge", laughed Constable Gelinas.

Cst. Nathan Moore says he was only in the water for about a second.

"I was focused on the ladder to come out. So as soon as I hit the water I shot up and I think I was out quicker than I was in the water."
