The Cochrane RCMP are looking for the driver of a two-vehicle collision that took place on Highway 1 just after midnight on December 4, 2020.

Corporal Troy Savinkoff with the Cochrane RCMP says that the RCMP responded to multiple driving complaints involving a grey Dodge Ram pickup truck. "We started receiving calls as the vehicle was driving eastbound towards Calgary near Morley road," says Savinkoff. "We then received three additional calls about the vehicle driving erratically."

The initial complaints were that an intoxicated male had stolen items from a business off Highway 40 and then proceeded to drive away on Highway 1.

The driver of the Dodge Ram was driving recklessly westbound in the eastbound lane.

Savinkoff says that while investigating the complaints, the RCMP was notified that the pickup truck had collided with a semi-truck.

"Ultimately the vehicle was involved in a collision on Highway 1 and Range Road 33 around 12:35 am in the morning," says Savinkoff. "There were injuries to multiple passengers that were in the vehicle."

The driver of the semi-truck sustained no injuries, however, two occupants of the truck were treated for minor injuries.

Savinkoff says that the driver of the Dodge Ram has not been located.
