There is a new club in town looking for members.

Young Professional Rotary Club of Cochrane is a new satellite branch of the Cochrane Rotary.

Ryan Baum, President of the new branch says explains how the new club has been created to work better for members in 2020.

"The typical rotary had a little bit more commitment than I could do now, I love to give back to the community but right now I just didn't have the time to do that. So I am hoping with this that we can establish a group that can meet with a little less frequency and allows people to be flexible."

Baum says he wanted to belong because of all of the positive things the Rotary does.

"The rotary has donated over $3-Million back to this community. So for an established club that has been around for over 25-years it's done a lot for this community. A lot of people wouldn't even know that it has. I take my kids to parks and pathways around the community and those are things that the rotary has helped with."

There will be a brief information session on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at Cochrane Toyota.
