The second Cochrane Spring Farmers' Market of the season has been called off for this weekend.

The Cochrane Farmers' Market announced the cancellation in a Facebook post.

"Due to the rapid and significant increase of COVID-19 cases in Cochrane and across the province, we have decided to cancel our April 17th Spring Market. This was a very tough decision, perhaps the most difficult in the past year; however, the health and safety of our vendors, volunteers, customers and community continues to be our highest priority."

"It has been a challenging year for vendors that rely on markets for their livelihood. Please make every effort to support farmers and makers as well as other local businesses. Many of our vendors offer options that allow you to purchase their products outside of the market; we encourage you to reach out and connect with them until our summer market opens on June 5."

There are still ways you can order from your favourite local vendors and businesses, including reaching out via this Facebook page.
