When the snow started flying, Cochrane’s first bike park, The Launchpad was fenced off to keep the track intact throughout the winter months. Due to the beautiful November weather, the park has dried and reopened so Cochranites can jump back on their bicycles.

Cyclists are encouraged to act fast though. The forecast is scheduled to change and bring snow this weekend, which means this could be the last few rides of 2020.

The Bike Cochrane Society is looking to fill a volunteer position to maintain The Launchpad. The Bike Park Manager would be in charge of maintaining the park during the warmer months in Cochrane and making sure the park is closed and fenced off when the weather is not participating. If you are interested in volunteering, email Bike Cochrane here.
