Coffee with a Cop is back, and just around the corner is the return of youth Positive Ticketing.

Today there was a chance to have coffee/water, treats, and a chat with RCMP Cst. Nathan Moore and Tamara Low, of Cochrane and Area Victim Services, at the Fireside McDonalds.

The two say it will once again be held on a regular basis at various locations around town.

"It's always fun to just go and chat with people, see what they have to say, and show we're just regular human beings out for a chat," says Cst. Moore.

The casual chat was put on hiatus during the peak of the pandemic.

The positive ticketing program for youth is set to return on June 15.

The RCMP and Victim Services will be joined by other local law enforcement agencies spotting kids being good and giving them a coupon for a treat from one of MacKay's Ice Cream, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, and Booster Juice.

Plus, they'll be given a chance to enter a draw for some pretty cool prizes.

Keep watch for future dates and locations.
