Cochrane's Connor Bouchard and the rest of the Tri-City Americans return to the ice tonight after getting the green light to return to play.

The team resumed practice on Monday after all individuals within the team cohort tested negative for COVID-19. Their play was halted after a team member tested positive for the virus in mid-April.

Tonight, Tri-City is on the road to take on the Spokane Chiefs.

After that, they have six games remaining in their schedule, including a three-game series against the Portland Winterhawks, May 1, 4, and 5.

Unfortunately, the five games they missed won't be played. They will end the season having only played 19 games.

There won't be any playoffs for the Western Hockey League this season because of the challenges of crossing borders during the pandemic.
