Morley continues to win the battle against COVID-19.

With no new cases of COVID-19 reported in the community yesterday, there now remain only five active cases being treated by Stoney Health Services.

A total of 3,807 tests have been completed since the start of the pandemic.

This week, the health centre continued to vaccinate seniors 65 and over. Starting Mar. 15, they will begin to administer it to people 50 and older who live or work on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. It will be by appointment only and must be booked in advance.

On Mar. 10, the curfew for Morley was reduced to 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. with many restrictions remained in place. No house-to-house visits are permitted. Gatherings of any kind, including funerals or wakes, are prohibited.

On Jan. 18, Morley reported 208 active cases of the virus, and heightened measures were put in place to turn the tide.
