For the second year in a row, The CP Holiday Train has decided to remain virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While Cochrane will not see the Hoilday Train roll through town. the event will still go to support food banks across the country.

“The spirit of the Holiday Train is about giving generously and inspiring those around us to give as well,” CP President and CEO Keith Creel said. “While we are disappointed we again cannot bring the Holiday Train to communities, we are honored to run a virtual program and continue to support communities and food banks across our network as they work to address food insecurity in North America.”

Cochrane has not seen the CP Holiday train roll through Historic Downtown since 2018. The event would see people gather to donate food and watch artists such as The Sam Roberts Band, Kelly Preston, and Tracey Brown perform live.

Last year's online event featured Serena Ryder and The Trews. CP Rail will announce this year's headliners in the coming weeks.
