The Cochrane High Cobras and Henry Wise Wood Warriors will be battling it out on the SLS Legacy Sports Field in one of the Larry Wilson Tier One south semi-final games of high school provincials this Saturday, Nov. 12.

Football Alberta announced today the game will be played Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Cobras advanced to the semifinals after dominating the Foothills Falcons, 45-13, last Friday night. The Cobras come into Saturday's game with only one loss this season at the hands of the George McDougall Mustangs in the Rocky View championship game.

It's been a challenging year for the Warriors, going 1-5 on the season with their only victory coming in a non-conference game against Centennial before Labour Day. Of note, they played their entire regular season against Division One Calgary teams.

The All Saints Legends and Notre Dame Cougars are in the other south semi-final.

The Cobras have been a powerhouse in Tier 3 play, setting records for most consecutive wins and provincial championships in Alberta high school football. It's their first attempt at winning a provincial title in tier one.
