The Okotoks Dawgs are ready for the return of a normal season with new sights, sounds and systems for fans.

The Dawgs' season opens this Friday, May 27 in a battle at home against Brooks.

Director and VP of Promotions and Special Events for the Dawgs, Will Gardner is excited about the introduction of a variety of new and improved fan experiences, one of which is a new food ordering system.

"We try to remember it's all about our fans and we call them the greatest fans in all of baseball and I'm delighted with the new system we have for mobile ordering from the comfort of your seat.

"We have an app that will go on your mobile device where you can place your concession order and it just takes our fan experience to an entirely new level."

Along with a new ordering system, Seaman Stadium now boasts an upgraded sound system, new food items, more seating and "bar-style" tables along the berm on the third-base side.

The one day Gardner is looking forward to most takes place on June 24.

"The Okotoks Dawgs will welcome their one-millionth fan to Seaman stadium… I can't believe that in the years we've been in Okotoks we are reaching this incredible milestone and this season is dedicated to and in tribute to the greatest fans in all of baseball, and we will welcome our one-millionth June 24th."

The events for which the Dawgs have become famous for will still be there including Fathers Day, Canada Day and the popular "Wear Pink to the Park" fundraiser.

Finally happening this year is the All-Star game.

"We were delighted that the Okotoks dogs were selected to host the All-Star game in 2020. That of course did not happen. We've rolled that over and the 2022 WCBL All-Star game will be hosted here at Seaman Stadium on July the 23rd and we're welcoming Matt Stairs as our celebrity guest of honour for the weekend."

Tickets for the 2022 season can be found on their website.
