It's been a whirlwind of a year for the Cochrane Public Library.

The local library has had to adapt its services many times throughout the course of the pandemic in order to comply with COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The Library has once again closed its doors to the public with the province's move back to Step One, however, they want Cochranites to know there are still a number of services they can provide from afar.

Head Librarian and Assistant Director Andrea Johnston say that curbside service is still available. "Check out books, videos, magazines, games, exercise equipment and more!" says Johnston. Curbside pick up is available on Monday - Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and  Friday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 .p.m.

Cochranites can also book a virtual appointment to receive tech help with phones, tablets and eReaders. Tech support is available via Google Meet or by calling the library and speaking with members of its tech staff.

The library's HelpNow program is another great resource available to help students. It's an opportunity to access free online help with homework, writing feedback and help with test prep. Students can also chat with a live tutor that’s well versed in the Alberta curriculum.

The library is also running a curbside Book Bag Sale. For a small cash donation, Cochranites can choose a theme of books and collect the bag curbside.
