According to Environment Canada there were 19 new record highs set in our province yesterday as we continue to see above seasonal temperatures.

It's still technically winter but we've been experiencing double-digit temperatures on and off for the past few weeks.

So, did we break a temperature record yesterday?

We hit 15 C at 5 p.m. yesterday.

Not quite, but we were sooooo close. Back in 1985 we broke a record when we hit 15.5 C.

Of course we did break a warm temperature record on Sunday, March 14 when the mercury hit 17 C.

The warmest place in Alberta yesterday was Taber, which saw temperatures climb to 19.3 C, breaking the town’s previous record of 19.2 C, set back in 2017.

Some of the weather breaking communities from yesterday in our province include: Brooks 18.5 C, Camrose 15 C, Claresholm 17.9 C, Drumheller 18.7, Edmonton 14.1 C, Lethbridge 18.5 C, Stettler 15.7 C and Waterton 14.6 C.
