In her daily address on April 2nd, Alberta's top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw shared that nearly 200 Albertans have recovered from COVID 19.

Unfortunately, what is becoming all too common is the report of two more deaths as well. A 90-year-old male resident from Mackenzie Towne Continuing Care Facility in Calgary and an 80-year-old male from the North zone have passed away due to COVID 19.

In a 24 hour period, 96 new cases were reported bringing the total number to 968 with 108 of those being community transmissions.

Dr. Hinshaw says that their labs are working overtime to continue to get test results. "I'm also pleased to note that we have conducted more than 4000 tests as our labs are working at maximum capacity. Of these tests, approximately 98 percent have come back negative."

According to the Alberta.ca map, the Cochrane/Springbank area is now showing 10 cases.
