There's high-level female hockey happening tonight (Nov. 19) at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre at 7:30 p.m.

Totem One is hosting a second game between elite female hockey teams of Kelowna's RINK Hockey Academy and the Shattuck-St Mary’s School (SSM) from Fairbault, Minnesota.

Yesterday afternoon, Rink won 3-2 in overtime. Another close matchup is expected tonight.

hockeyMikayla Blomquist (#7) keeps the puck away from SMM's Maggie Scannell.

The exhibition games have doubled as a homecoming for Mikayla Blomquist and Raedyn Spademan, who got their start in Cochrane Minor Hockey and are now forwards for the Rink U18 prep team.

Both rosters feature girls that are in the mix for U18 national teams. The SSM is coached by American legend and former Inferno Brianna Decker.
