Energy Minister Peter Guthrie is in Texas this week for the CERAWeek conference.

While there, he will continue to promote Alberta's role in energy security, achieving emissions reductions and affordability.

The trip will be used to renew and strengthen Alberta's relations with international stakeholders, gather market intelligence, and aims to improve access to the United States and global markets.

Guthrie will be touting Alberta's record as a responsible and reliable producer, and highlight the province's success in carbon capture, utilization, and storage along with other emission reduction efforts.

The Minister of Energy says, "Alberta energy is the best choice for allies around the world. This conference is a global event that provides a unique opportunity to promote investment and strengthen access to markets. It also provides a chance to showcase Alberta’s leadership in so many areas, including emissions reduction and hydrogen development.”

CERAWeek takes place in Houston, Texas from March 6-10.
