Environment Canada has released the EF (Enhanced Fujita-Scale) rating of the Bergen Tornado that touched down on July 7, 2022. The organization gave the tornado an EF-2 rating.

The EF-Scale is a six point scale that goes from zero being the weakest and five being the strongest. The scale utilizes damage indicators to aid in determining wind speeds.

An EF-2 rated tornado would mean the wind speed of the Bergen tornado ranged from 180 to 220km/hr.

Environment Canada said ping pong sized hail and funnel clouds were also reported in the area.

The location of the Tornado was 4 km east of Bergen damaging several homes and structures as well as many trees.
