Team Alberta staged a late comeback to beat British Columbia, 18-17, in Alberta's opening game of the U18 Football Canada Cup last night.

British Columbia was ahead 14-9 at the half, but the boys in blue fought back in the defensive struggle. Alberta quarterback Josh Page connected on a pass to Cochrane's Ethan Clazie to set up the major. Page took it in from the one-yard line to clinch it.

Page was named Alberta's offensive player of the game. He scored both of the team's touchdowns from the one-yard line.

Alberta advances to play Quebec on July 14. Quebec beat New Brunswick, 57-0, in their opening game.
