The Amazing Cochrane Culture Hunt is a free event being held next Sunday that will showcase all the different cultures that can be found in Cochrane. The Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee is hosting this scavenger hunt in lieu of CULTUREfest for 2020.

Sandra Scott, the President of the Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee explains what to expect next Sunday. "You start off at Spray Lakes Family Sports Centre, and you get a clue and it takes you on to the next place, and there are nine locations through Cochrane, and at each location, you are introduced to a different culture group that lives here in Cochrane so it is represented here in Cochrane. You go back at the end and you end up getting back to Spray Lakes and there are prizes"

"We decided to run this way this year because we just can't move forward with the normal culture fest that we did last year, We had over 700 people come through! So, it was something we really wanted to do again this year but we couldn't. So instead we have come up with a unique new event, and it is a scavenger hunt."

The event is completely free but they are asking that you register because due to COVID-19, they are limiting the number of vehicles that can participate to 40.

Scott ensures that they are taking every precaution to keep everyone safe and healthy.

As of Friday morning, The Amazing Cochrane Culture Hunt is more than halfway to being sold out. To register your vehicle for the free event on Sunday, September 27th, go here.
