Plans are gearing up for the FutureFarm Canada Expo coming up this July.

Olds college, Agri-Trade Equipment and dmg :: events are collaborating to put it on.

Executive Vice-President of dmg :: events Wes Scott says it's an outdoor show full of live equipment demonstrations.

"This show really does kick off summer so it's a great way to do a summer festival that is centered around the family but also offers an opportunity to look at the scientific advancements and innovation needed to drive tomorrow's agriculture business," Scott says. "For us it's really exciting to be in an outdoor environment, to be working with Olds College which is one of the premiere agricultural colleges in Canada, so for us this has a lot of benefits to Alberta coming up this summer."

He says the focus of the event is innovation from cabless tractors to a Drone Zone.

Scott says they've really tried to make this event different and include the whole family.

There'll be demonstrations of equipment, indoor exhibits centred around agri-business and because it's during the first week of the Calgary Stampede they'll have a bus available to take those who don't want to hang around with their mom and dad, can head to the big show in the city.

FutureFarm Canada Expo runs from July 6 to 8 at Olds College.
