It doesn't come as too much of a surprise since another gas was predicted but it still hurts.
Some stations in Cochrane are still selling gas for 1.71.9 a litre and are lined up due to the anticipated price hike.
Other stations in town have already jumped by eight cents to 1.79.9 a litre.
Experts say it could go even higher as we enter the summer months.
Menawhile, motorists were lining up at gas stations, like the one at Safeway, to advantage of temporarily lower prices. This was taken around 1 p.m. on June 1 after some stations had already increased their prices.
